Happy New Year!

I do think New Year's resolutions can't technically be expected to begin on New Year's Day, don't you? Since, because it's an extension of New Year's Eve, smokers are already on a smoking roll and cannot be expected to stop abruptly on the stroke of midnight with so much nicotine in the system. Also dieting on New Year's Day isn't a good idea as you can't eat rationally but really need to be free to consume whatever is necessary, moment by moment, in order to ease your hangover. I think it would be much more sensible if resolutions began generally on January the second.

-Helen Fielding, Bridget Jones's Diary

With warmest wishes for a hangover-free,
happy, healthy, plentiful and peaceful new year. Welcome 2008!

С новым годом!
C пожеланиями на замечательный 2008!

Happy New Year to you and your family!

How did you celebrate New Year's Eve?
I had much fun but a terrible hangover plus a bad cold today...

I'll go and eat some good-luck lentils

cheers

Oh no.... I hope you're feeling better!

Happy new year to you and your family as well!

We celebrated that night (just the two of us) with a romantic dinner at a restaurant we love, and then new years day we had ham, squash and beans for good luck, too!

how romantic!
I went to a cinema here in town, that offered a movie, Bladerunner the final cut, and a party for just 5,00 euros!!!.
I went there with some friends and met other friends and acquaintainces there. the movie was wonderful and this was the first time I watched it at the cinema. the ending was better than that of the director's cut. furthermore the buffet was amazing, music was not that good so we moved to one of my friend's flat and continued the party with better music.
I drank too much spumante (franciacorta at the beginning but then the wine given started to become worse and worse. the opposite of the cannaa wedding...)

now, I'll read your new post

cheers
